Activewear Company Set Active Opens First Store in Los Angeles – WWD

It’s been four years since Los Angeles-based Set Active was launched with a line of quality activewear that could take wearers from morning to night.

Lindsey Carter created her label with the intention of making activewear that could be worn to the gym, for coffee breaks, and on to work. The solid colors are meant to be easy to match with other clothes.

Carter had a vision of opening a shop where customers could see the fabrics and experience them once the brand was established in 2020. But that took longer than expected because of a few things — including the pandemic.

Set Active opened its first West Hollywood store at 8476 Melrose Place after waiting for the right moment. The one-year pop-up will feature Set Active’s core collection, limited drops and in-store exclusive merchandise while giving a look at 2023 launches before they are available.

“It was always a dream of mine to have a store where people can actually see us in real life because everything we do is community-based,” Carter said.

The store’s 640-square foot location features a large bench at the front and digital art from Set Active all around it. Customers can see Polaroid photos on a nearby wall.
