In a Wednesday morning statement, President Biden demanded “greater” gun control after six people were killed and four more were injured by a Virginia Walmart employee who used a firearm to do so.
Biden stated that “Jill” and “I grieve for those families and the Chesapeake community as well as for the Commonwealth of Virginia which suffered a horrible shooting at the University of Virginia earlier this month.” “We also grieve for all Americans who have lost loved one to these tragic shootings. We must stand together against them.”
“I have signed the most significant gun reform of my generation in this year,” the president said. “We need to take more action.”
According to police, the mass shooting at the Chesapeake grocery store was perpetrated by one of its employees. The male employee used a pistol in the attack and died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky told reporters Wednesday morning.
