The Schools We Need for the New 'Cognitive Economy'


We are currently in the midst a post-industrial revolution that is just as dramatic and disruptive as the tectonic events that led to West’s rise. This revolution provides everyday people with a wealth of goods, and services. The new economic revolution is built on tiny computer chips and huge data. It differs from the previous revolutions at least in one important way. This

one is different than the first revolution (cotton spinning), the second (heavy industry, including oil and steel to automobiles), and relies on highly educated workers. Smart machines ,… are replacing the less skilled.
