While we await the apocalyptic, hysterical responses the left has in store for November 8th’s mid-terms, we got a bit of a preview on Sunday of how things will go.
As RedState reported, a coalition of right-wing parties was swept into power in Italy with Giorgia Meloni set to become the nation’s first female prime minister. Predictably, the same left that insists you celebrate every “historic” victory on their side had nothing to say about glass ceilings in this situation. Instead, they returned to their old favorite trope. Namely, they insisted she’s a “fascist.”
Is she? I can’t really find any evidence of that in her policies. What I see is guilt by association claims relating to the origins and leadership of the party she leads. But why wouldn’t that same standard apply to Democrats, whose party history is ripe with slavery and death?
I did some research this morning trying to figure out if Meloni is really “neo-fascist.” Seems the claim isn’t based on her policy positions as much as the historical roots of her party. If U.S. parties were held to the same standard, it would be catastrophic for Dems.

So who is Meloni? And what do they believe? A video of Meloni talking about her values after her win was released.
